Ashley Clutter

Owner, Founder, and Lead Walker

I’m Ashley, the heart behind Next Step Paws. After five years as an occupational therapist, I’m transitioning my passion for helping others to the pet care world.

I’ve spent the past year learning from a dog training mentor while I actively pursue my CPDT-KA certification. I focus on evidence-based practices and positive reinforcement techniques. I’ve cared for pets through dog walking and pet sitting since my college days, and understand the importance of trust, consistency, and individualized attention.

Whether it’s daily walks or drop-in visits, my goal is to make your pet feel happy and understood. From shy pups to energetic adventurers, every pet receives care tailored to their personality and needs.

Honey

The real inspiration behind Next Step Paws has four paws, a wagging tail, and an endless supply of mischief. Full of energy and an unstoppable curiosity, Honey keeps us on our toes every single day. She may have medical challenges and is working through her own dog reactivity, but her resilience and everyday joy taught us the importance of being understanding. She enjoys regular adventures and snack-fueled training sessions. Honey has inspired us to create something full of happiness and compassion. Thanks to her, every service we provide comes with a deep respect for every pet’s unique personality.
